Notifications
The bell icon shows in-app notifications. A red badge displays the number of unread notifications. Notifications appear both in the project viewer and from the dashboard, and some notifications can take you to another project after confirmation.
Viewing notifications
Click the bell icon to open the notifications dropdown. Each notification shows:
- Who triggered it (display name)
- What happened
- When it happened (relative time)
- Which project or organisation it belongs to
Notification types
Notifications are created for:
| Type | What it means |
|---|---|
| Comment mention | Someone mentioned you in a map comment |
| Followed-thread reply | Someone replied to a comment thread you follow |
| Project invite | Someone invited or added you to a project |
| Editor access request | A viewer requested editor access to a project you manage |
| Access request result | Your editor access request was approved or declined |
| Organisation invite | Someone invited you to join an organisation |
| Share lockout | A password-protected share link was locked after failed attempts |
Acting on a notification
Click a notification to open the relevant context. Depending on the notification, AugmentCity may:
- Mark it as read
- Open the related project after confirmation
- Fly to a comment location and open the comment thread
- Open the project members settings for an access request
- Open the Scenarios panel for a locked share link
Pending organisation invite notifications also include a Decline invite action. Opening the notification takes you to the organisation invite screen where you can explicitly accept the invitation.
Mark all as read
Click the checkmark icon at the top of the dropdown to mark all notifications as read.
Organisation invitations require explicit consent. You are not added to the organisation until you accept the invite.
