AugmentCity GeoPlanning Platform

AugmentCity is a web-based 3D planning workspace for teams working with spatial data, scenarios, review workflows, and shared project context.

Use these docs to set up projects, import data, style layers, compare planning alternatives, share views, and collaborate with your team.

A typical planning workflow

  1. Create or open a project. Start from the project dashboard, choose the right organisation, and invite the people who need access.

  2. Import or connect data. Add files such as GeoJSON, shapefiles, CSV, GeoTIFF, IFC, 3D models, and point clouds, or connect live services such as WMS, WMTS, ArcGIS, XYZ tiles, and Cesium Ion.

  3. Style and organize layers. Use the Layers panel to control visibility, opacity, order, labels, filters, and styles such as 3D bars, point markers, terrain, and point clouds.

  4. Save alternatives as scenarios. Use scenarios to capture workspace alternatives, compare proposals, write narratives, and restore saved views during review.

  5. Share, discuss, review, or publish results. Use comments, share links, analytics, or the Public Dataset Catalog depending on the outcome you need.

Key concepts

Projects and organisations

Projects hold the maps, layers, scenarios, comments, and activity for a planning workspace. Organisations group projects and members so access can be managed consistently. See Projects overview and Organisations.

Layers

Layers are the spatial datasets shown in the 3D viewer. They can come from uploaded files, external map services, or public datasets. See Layers overview and Importing data.

Scenarios

Scenarios save planning alternatives, including camera position, layer visibility, styling, environment settings, charts, and narrative text. Use them to compare baseline and proposal states. See Scenarios overview.

Comments and collaboration

Comments are anchored to locations on the map and support replies, mentions, voting, and resolution. Realtime collaboration shows who is online and lets presenters guide followers through a shared view. See Comments and Collaboration.

Sharing

Share links let people view selected scenarios without signing in. Use them to present a specific project state to reviewers, partners, or external stakeholders. See Share Links.

Review tools

Manual tools are available for drawing, annotation, measurement, clipping, and underground viewing. See Tools Panel.
